Chapter # __  Hiss means Earthquake!
“Hiss!!” Went the Steam Vents. More steam was hissing out than ever before! The inhabitants of Steamer Island were getting worried. The Steam Vents had never hissed out so much steam. Old *Player Island* had encountered a small earthquake that had caused it to CRACK IN HALF! Volcano Island was also starting to shoot billowing smoke out of it.
The next day at about 9:00 A.M. the ground of most islands around Shellville gave a mighty HEAVE to the South-West and than back to the North- East. “Hey Todd, did you feel that?” Asked Bill. “Yes I did Bill.” Said Todd.
“Du-du-du-du-ba-ba-ba-ba-ah-ah Du-du-du-du-ba-ba-ba-ba-ah-ah “ “We Interrupt this program for an Important Announcement. A large Earthquake has occurred approximately 100 miles north-east of Shellville Island causing a 1 foot Tsunami. All those within the vicinity of Steamer, Fisher's, and Shellville Islands are urged to evacuate immediately and within the next 30 minutes." - "This is the mayor of Shellville Island. Due to our enormous population  it will take about 11/2  Hours for us to evacuate. Anyone who has  an idea of how to delay the tsunami long enough for us to evacuate PLEASE call town hall at 201-900-1000."  "Now back to your normal program." Went the sound emitting from the radio." Du-du-du-du-ba-ba-ba-ba-ah-ah".

About 5 minutes later at town hall
"Ring Ring" went the telephone. "Hello" said the Mayor. "This is the Shellville Truckers Co." said the caller. "We have an idea to delay the Tsunami.  We can line up, than knock down our trucks to form a barrier about 10 feet high that would protect the island by stopping the tsunami for about 30-40 minutes."  "Okay" said the Mayor. "lets try it."
About 10 minutes later a estimated 30 trucks and 3 cranes were headed toward Barren Beach Island, and several trucks and 2 cranes were headed for Pony Ranch. Within 20 minutes the trucks had created a barrier about ten feet tall. Several trucks were also stacked on top of each other  in the channel between Shellville and Barren Beach Islands.  The Mainland had also sent several dozen ferries to help evacuate, as Shellville Island was the only island in the Shellville Island Cluster that had a ferry (and it only had one for that matter) And the other islands had but two or three motorboats apiece.
