Fire Danger June 2012

With several large wildfires raging across the state in early June this means that there is a High wildfire danger.

If you live on the Wasatch Front you know that last year there was still snow in the mountains and even a little in the shady areas of the cities where people did not walk and cars did not drive, but this year with hardly any snow in the winter there is certainly not any left in the cities, and barely any if not any left even in the mountains.  Because we get the majority of our water from the winter snow melting this means there is a bit of a water shortage this year. Thankfully we have resivoires to keep lots of water stored up - including the water from last year - so hopefully this will not become a severe water shortage.
